In 20 years of practice and thousands of personal injury cases, I’ ve constantly been asked, “What’s this case worth?” And my answer is always the same: “It’s worth whatever a jury says it’s worth.” Because only about 5% of cases go to trial, waiting to see what a jury awards can be expensive, time-consuming and impractical. Mediation saves you time, money and the uncertainty of letting 12 strangers decide your fate.
FAMILY LAW
Not all divorces and family law disputes need to feel like you ’re going to war. Most often, judges will require parties to explore a resolution through mediation. It’s far less contentious, stressful and expensive than full-blown divorce litigation.
My role is to assist the parties involved in reaching an agreement. The process, which is completely private and confidential, requires the parties to remain openminded and open to compromise in order to control the outcome, rather than handing their future to a judge. As the third party involved in mediation, I assist the parties in agreeing to arrangements for child support, custody, division of assets and debts, and visitation. Using common sense and compassion, I will work with your attorney to reach a reasonable resolution.
